NOW stands for New Optimists Welcome and is a program designed to
capture the interest of prospective Optimist Members.

Our NOW Picnic is fast approaching and will be here before we know it.
It is scheduled to take place at Rotary Park located on Utica Road and Common.
The date is the third Saturday in August which is August 19th at the pavilion. The gates
will open at 10:00am. If you have any friends or relatives who may be interested in
becoming members of the Optimists, NOW is the time to do it.

Dee Lindroth has taken on the task to pull this picnic together, not just to recruit new
members but to make all members feel welcomed in the process. If you have any
friends or relatives that would make good candidates for our club, let Dee know who
they are and their address, she will make certain that they are sent a formal invitation
to this event.

All members are asked to bring a dish to pass for all if attending. Desserts are always
a nice addition to any picnic. A sign-up sheet will be passed around at the July 15th
meeting. If you can’t make the meeting and still want to donate something, please

Even though you may not have any potential members in mind, doesn’t take from
the fact that we would love to have as many members who can be there attend. It
makes for a great day to spend some time with some wonderful people.
