DESCRIPTION:CALLING ALL LOCAL\nRESTAURANT OWNERS!\n\nACT QUICKLY!\n\nREGISTRATION DUE BY\nMONDAY\, MARCH 25 @ NOON\n\nDon’t miss your chance to possibly win\n$2.5K / $1K / $500\n\nMac Madness: Best Mac in the Mac contest seeks the\nbest housemade macaroni and cheese in Macomb County\n\nSPONSORED BY\nMacomb County Planning and Economic Development (MCPED)\n\nRestaurants that offer any type of housemade macaroni and cheese are encouraged to enter the contest here starting today through March 22 at Noon.\n\nAdditional rules for entrants include:\n\nThe macaroni and cheese must be housemade\nOnly independently owned and operated restaurants are eligible\nThe restaurant must be located within Macomb County\nNational franchises are excluded\nThere is only one entry per restaurant\n\n\nOnce the portal closes\, all entrants will be featured in a public vote period called Mac Madness 2021\, where restaurants face off in a bracket-style competition. Public voting will start March 29\, and restaurants will be narrowed down from the top 16 to the final two.\n\nThe top vote getter from that face-off will win:\n\nA $2\,500 grant from Macomb County\nThe Best Mac in the Mac plaque\n\n\nA $1\,000 grant will also be awarded to the second place restaurant\, while the third and fourth runners up will receive $500 each.\n\nFor more information visit macombgov.org/Living-Mac-Madness.\n\nA video about the contest featuring County Executive Mark Hackel and MCPED Director Vicky Rowinski is available here.
